Curating high-quality, long-lasting, repairable goods
How’s the gear getting on in December?

Well, i’m still using what i’ve got at the moment. No new Forever Good items to test.

I went over to Bath and Bristol to catch up with some friends and family. Great that Bora and Oya are settling into their new house! And baby Martha did her first roll.

England temperatures get pretty chilly this time of year. Around 5 degrees. Ouch! There was piercing wind throughout the weekend.

I made the mistake of not wearing enough layers. And so ended up feeling the cold! Could have done with the Patagonia Better Sweater underneath!

Though I did have the triple protection of hat, gloves and scarf. Having all extremities covered is a good strategy! And thankfully there was no rain.

Or mud!

My low-grip Kalenji running trainers were more than enough for the walks/hikes we got up to: visiting the local Portishead lake, and the Bath Christmas market. I do think the Altberg’s will provide a level up when I purchase these. They’ll enable me to do longer walks like the Camino de Santiago or the Lycian way.

Looking back this year, I don’t think I even bought any clothes. Except underwear.

Forever Goods really stands for circular product lifecycles. So making use of what gear you’ve already got is much better than buying more.

Having said that, i’m super excited to be treating myself to some Forever Goods upgrades in the January sales. Important for me to test them before I sell them!

Ideally, I will buy 2nd hand if that’s an option.

And i’ll be sure to let you know how good they turn out to be 🙂

Forever Gang, have an awesome New Year!
